My credentials and professional experience:
I recently graduated from a Masters of Dietetic Studies & Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Science at The University of Queensland. During my tertiary education I had the opportunity to work part-time as a Student Dietitian at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. During this time I worked in a diverse workload and treated individuals for many chronic diseases. Some of which included; diabetes, obesity/weight loss, cardiovascular disease, cancer, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic kidney disease, liver diseases, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
My Masters of Dietetic Studies also saw me working as a student dietitian with Eat Smart Nutrition and the Broncos League Club. This experience gave me exposure into the world of sport nutrition as we conducted regular body composition analyses, hydration testing and supplement prescriptions. We also provided dietary advice on how to optimise muscle gain and how to maximise weight loss at a professional athletic level.
